DFO SHOPPING TRIP 4 December 2007Trip Leaders: Jan, Nat and Leah Corbett Participants: Lisa Nehring, Sandra Dixon, Sharon Fry, Lucia and Jacki Townsend and Sue and Lisa Anderson (the late ones). Well it was a small group that gathered to take on the DFO shopping world. Credit cards and cash at the ready, the obligatory group shot taken around the money machine that refused to hand out extra cash just ‘cos we were gorgeous. Action plans were hatched to meet up for a sustenance break at 12.30 and the group splintered off to conquer the crowds. The most unusual buy goes to: · Jan for the pair of mini tongs she bought for $3.00 The bargains of the day go to: · Lucia spent the huge total of $2.50 on measuring spoons which were half price!!! · Nat got a really good quality cami (with adjustable straps and all) from Jeans West for $2.95 · Sandra bought a new baking tray for $5 and a pack of 3 body lotions for $10. · Jan bought Graham a sun shirt (Speedo) from Endless Summer which was marked at $25 but with the 35% discount voucher from the website ad it came down to $16. A beach towel from Cotton On which was half price with any purchase and · Leah saw some hair ties for $1 – so the beach towel was $25 rather than $50 · Sharon bought a new wallet from Table Eight which ended up to be $7.50 on a ‘buy any handbag and get a second half price’ thing. The wallet was marked at $20 · Jacki's big bargain was a pair of shoes reduced from $159.00 to $29.00. · Sue Anderson bought the bargains of the century. From Jacqui E she got a lined winter coat/jacket for herself which was marked down from $210 to $39.95! She also bought a pair of shoes for her eldest daughter for Christmas reduced from $100 to $23.
