Over the years with the club, I have seen some pretty feeble attempts to tie knots.  Knots are used to do some pretty important jobs, like secure a load to a roof rack or trailer, tie a tarp down to a peg, tie up a hammock, putting up a bush clothes line, etc.  So, here I’m going to discuss what are the most appropriate knots to use in different situations and show you the correct way to tie them.  We’ll start off with some of the basic ones and work up to some of the more difficult ones.

And have a look at Ropeworks, an interesting web site showing you knots, what to do, and what knot to do!
