Tyre
Comparison
Some months ago 15 independent tyre
dealers witnessed various brands of 4WD tyres being tested in a variety of conditions. The
tyres used were of the standard equipment type rather than the more serious off-road type.
The tests were done at Mt Cotton test area. The tests included the light vehicle skid pan,
a heavy vehicle manoeuvring area with wet area and circuit, and a four wheel drive track.
How well did your tyres do??? Some were very poor performers especially in wet conditions
(dangerous).
