BAREFOOT BOWLS 6 March 2008Attendees:
6pm saw all attendees arrive at the designated venue – Greenslopes Bowls Club, Ridge Street, Greenslopes for an enjoyable BBQ dinner which was followed by a challenging evening of barefoot bowls. After selecting our playing bowls, everyone grouped into teams of four (4) and after a brief rundown by staff, we were on the greens, airing our toes and aiming our bowls at the jack. As the evening progressed, teams rotated, giving everyone a chance to play against all members attending on the evening. The evening drew to a close with all members participating in a “closest to the jack” across the diagonal of the green. By now the greens were heavy with dew which was cold on the feet and slowed the balls considerably. Congratulations go to Leah Corbett who won with her bowl stopping closest to the jack. Mum and Dad took home the bottle of champagne to celebrate this feat. Thanks to all who participated. Jen Parker Back to Top
