Mary Valley Rattler and Surrounds Weekend

Outline:

All aboard as we roll through the Mary Valley, Gympie and surrounds. On Sunday we'll take the trip from Gympie to Amamoor on the heritage steam locomotive, the Mary Valley Rattler, taking in the scenery and enjoying the iconic experience of this great train journey. 

There's much more in store for this weekend, including plenty of socialising, visiting a local brewery and going 4WDing in the local area. Join us for what will be a fantastic weekend.

(Mainly High Range 4WD but Low Range required. Some 4WD experience recommended.)

Suitable for: 

Optional 4WDing: Suitable for stock and medium clearance vehicles with all terrain or road tyres.

Requirements: 

Optional 4WDing:

• First aid kit

• Accessible vehicle recovery points / tow hitch receiver

• Long handle shovel

• Air compressor

• Tyre pressure gauge

• Recovery equipment including,

• Snatch strap

• Tow strap

• Rated shackles / soft shackles

• Strap damper

• Vehicle recovery tracks (Optional)

Standown Park:

Unpowered site - $30 per night

Powered site - $40 per night

26 August Update:
A group campsite booking has been made with Standown Park. You will need to call
the park to confirm your booking and pay.
Please let them know you are part of the Mitsubishi 4WD Club to claim a $5.00 per
night discount.

Mary Vallery Rattler:

Concession - $64

You will also need to book your own tickets for the Mary Valley Rattler. We will be
taking the trip from Gympie to Amamoor and back on Sunday 27 October. The train
departs at 10:00am and returns at 1:30pm. 
The Saturday journey is booked out, due to a themed event.
