BROOMS HEAD

Date: 20 February to 27 February (depart for home on 27)

Meeting Place: Brooms Head Caravan Park, Brooms Head. Travel down the Pacific Highway towards Maclean. Take the slip road off the highway, double back to Jubilee Street and then turn right onto Diamond Street and Brooms Head Road. It’s about a 20-minute drive from there. The whole trip is a bit less than 3.5 hours (300kms).

Meeting Time: Make your own way down.

Grade of Trip: Social

Suitable for: All Members

Requirements: Usual camping gear, etc.

Trip Outline: The plan is to have lunch at the Sanctus Brewery on Friday.  An evening meal at the Chinese restaurant at the Bowls Club on Sunday night.  Lunch at Ulmarra Hotel on Tuesday.  Botero Café in Maclean is another option. The rest of the time is your own.

Limit: We are only limited by the number of sites available (21 power, 2 unpowered). That can be expanded if necessary. Any trips we undertake may be split or everyone doubles up.

Estimated cost: Current rates are $46 per powered site (we do have some unpowered sites). Book for 7 and pay for 6.

Other: If you are interested, contact me or register on the website or app. You are welcome to arrive early and/or stay later. In all cases, DO NOT BOOK YOUR SITE DIRECTLY. Let me know your arrival and departure dates and I will allocate one of those sites. For most of those who came in 2023, I will allocate you the same site unless you want a change, and it can be accommodated. But let me know first. You will then contact the park with those details and pay your $50 deposit.
