A flexible trip to Foxbar Falls where there’s something for everyone.

Foxbar Falls is a breathtakingly beautiful campground in the Granite Belt. Here, you can enjoy stunning granite, bush and water surrounds in an idyllic setting. The public roads are sealed all the way to the property, and a well maintained unsealed driveway allows safe access for all vehicle types. Swag campers to big rig operators are catered for here. There are hot showers and toilets, and each site has its own fire pit.

Sites are spacious and all are beautiful.

Nick and I have booked a site in the “Lakeside Sunny” area and have asked the grounds to hold a further 9 sites within the “Lakeside Sunny” area and “Rock View” area – both of which have some powered and unpowered sites.  Please note, you must book your campsite by the end of February – all unbooked sites which have been held for this trip will be released back to the general public on 1 March 2026.

You can see the park map here.

If you would like to join us on this trip, please contact the campgrounds directly to book your site.  You can use “Hollie Lagerberg” as your reference to book one of the allocated sites or, if they have been booked, please ask for a site as close as possible to “Lakeside Sunny” or “Rock View”.

If the trip is booked, please first speak to the campground and, providing they have availability for you to camp on the property, you can still come along – just reach out to Hollie to let her know.

For those who wish to have a social or relaxing weekend, come along!  There is so much to do at the campground that you really don’t need to leave.

Activities include:

  • Water activities – large dams on the property allow for kayaking, canoeing, fishing and swimming.  No motorized crafts permitted.
  • Bushwalking – Walking tracks of various difficulty are marked throughout the property and surrounding area.  On the grounds, you can climb Mt Ferguson, visit the base of “Sow & Pigs” or climb to the top of the “Sow” and be rewarded with gorgeous views, or walk down to see the gorgeous Foxbar Falls.
  • Birdwatching
  • Relaxing – find a shady spot on your site and kick back with a refreshing beverage and a book
  • Kids’ playground
  • Try to catch some blue-claw – bring a yabby pot or try your luck with a home-made fishing rod – a stick with string with some steak tied to the string.

For those who love to explore, the campground is in the Granite Belt area, only 15 minutes from Stanthorpe.  There are many places you can visit nearby including:

For those who want to 4WD, Nick will be leading a day trip into Sundown National Park to Red Rock Gorge.  This will be medium day trip.  You must have completed DAP to participate in the day trip.

There are also plenty of easy, scenic drive in the State Forests nearby the grounds for those who wish to explore their surroundings by car.

Aside from the day trip into Sundown, this is a weekend you can make your own – do whatever suits your desires and meet up with the group in the late afternoon/early evening for happy hour and campfire chats.

This trip has something for everyone.

Please note that there is no mobile reception on camp sites however, there is reception at the park office, located near the main amenities.

There are hot showers available and well-maintained drop toilets.  The campground is pet friendly.  Firewood is available on site.

There are (usually) a couple of kayaks on site which can be used for free, however, if you want to guarantee kayaking, please bring your own.  Stand-Up paddleboards are also great here.

Costs:

$52 per site, per night, powered (inc. 2 adults and children under 2)

$45 per site, per night unpowered - (inc. 2 adults and children under 2)

$5 per night, per child for children over 2 years of age

$10 per night additional adults
