Who can attend? Trip leaders (or members with a DAP who would like to lead future trips).  If you do not have your DAP, you can travel in the vehicle of another member to experience the tracks :-) or just have a social weekend at camp.

Drives will be held Friday afternoon, most of Saturday and Sunday morning.

Location: Camping Bluff Creek Campground - 44 Wilcox rd, Kenilworth

Bluff Creek Campground is a spacious, family-friendly, and dog-friendly 100-acre private property located just an 8-minute drive outside of Kenilworth in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Positioned under two hours from Brisbane, it focuses on offering a relaxed, uncrowded experience by intentionally limiting camper numbers.  

Take the Kenilworth Brooloo Rd north of Kenilworth for approx. 5k and turn right at Wilcox Rd. The first gate is approx. 100m from the turn off and is the property exit gate. Go another 50m along Wilcox Rd to the property entrance gate. All roads within the campground are reasonable dirt suitable for caravans.

The office is approx. 300m from the entrance gate. Please check in at the office before going to the camp sites.

Kenilworth town is approx. 5 minutes drive from the campground and has a supermarket, pub, bakery, cheese factory, café, a few speciality shops and fuel.

Key Features and Layout

• Campsites: The property features grassy, open sites set along a rolling landscape. There are no strictly designated individual spots, giving you freedom to spread out and find your own secluded area. 
• Water Access: It sits on a bend overlooking a spring-fed creek and features direct access to the pristine Mary River, making it popular for swimming, canoeing, and fishing. There is also an onsite dam/lake safe for swimming.
• Vehicles: It is accessible for both 2WD and 4WD vehicles (though 2WD can get tricky when wet). However, the site layouts are not suitable for large caravans or motorhomes.

Amenities and Rules

• No Power: Every campsite is completely unpowered; you will need to be self-sufficient for power.
• Bathroom Facilities: There are two clean amenity blocks with flushing toilets and hot showers (shower use requires a $1 coin for 3 minutes). Scattered portable toilets are also placed across the grounds. 
• Campfires: Campfires are highly encouraged. Individual fire pits are provided at the sites, and firewood, ice, and basic necessities (like milk and bread) can be purchased directly from the onsite kiosk. 
• Quiet Atmosphere: To maintain a peaceful environment, there is a strict 10 PM noise curfew. 
• There is no power or dump point (the nearest dump point is at Kenilworth). 

Camp fees are $20/person/night, minimum 2 nights. Please contact the campground to book and pay your camp fees approx. 1 week in advance to ensure you can get in.
