May Day Amamoor Getaway - TL Phil Day

Cedar Grove Campground, Amamoor State Forest, Amamoor Creek Road

hrs).

Join us for the May Day long weekend getaway at Cedar Grove Campground in the Amamoor State Forest. Come and enjoy the serenity of the bush and the company of fellow members in this tranquil setting.

Set in an open flat grassy area amongst red cedar and bunya pines next to the Amamoor Creek.  Camping is suitable for tents, vans, trailers and motorhomes. The access road includes an unsealed section and is suitable for two-wheel drive vehicles.
 

Facilities:

• Flushing toilets
• No Shower facilities, please BYO
• Creek water is available but is unsuitable for drinking. BYO drinking water
• Open fires are permitted in fire rings provided
• We have found mobile phone coverage is limited to a hill just outside the campground
• No dogs allowed at Cedar Grove camping area

Camp bookings are via the Qld National Parks website https://book.parks.qld.gov.au/cedar-grove-camping-area. Make sure you get in early to their website to confirm your booking.

$7.50 per person per night, or $30 per family per night (up to 2 adults and accompanying children
under 18)

Trips will include easy, medium and a hard drive through the Amamoor and Imbil State forests as well as to the local towns of Imbil, Kandanga and maybe up to Lake Borumba.
The nights can be rather cool up there so make sure you bring warm clothing and bedding.
