Swan Gully 4WD Park - TL Phil Day

Camp Bookings

• Make your bookings direct via the Swan Gully website:  https://swangullypark.com.au/camping/
• $35 per night (1 campsite for 2 people, tent/van, all unpowered)
• $50 Family bookings (i.e. 3-5 people)
• Please make sure you add the code "MITSI and your SURNAME". We need this, so you are registered on the club's reserved campsite.
• No 'on the day' bookings accepted.

4WD Bookings

• On the first day, or if visiting and NOT camping, 4WDing is $55.
• 4WDing beyond the first day will be $20 a day (additional to the camping fee).
• More information will be emailed to you upon booking and no payment needed when booking.
• If you don't know the number of days you are driving, just estimate and it can be finalised when you arrive.
• An online indemnity form will be emailed the day before you arrive, or it can be done on the day, but lack of service may be an issue in the gully.
• When booking in brackets beside your name, put Mitsubishi 4WD Owners Club of QLD.

Getting there

• Just over an hour from the Brisbane CBD.

• Address: 388 Swan Gully Road, Bromelton.

• Arrivals accepted between 9:00 AM and before 5:00 PM. 

• There is signage and refer to Kylie’s emails sent to you before the weekend.

• If you don't know the number of days you are driving, just estimate and it can be fixed up when you arrive.

At the Park

• Over 900 acres of camping, 4WDing and other activities.
• Lots of merchandise on sale including Necky the world’s first amber neck light. "See right at night".
• Tracks range from easy off-road right up to very difficult (drivers must have completed their DAP).
• Pets are allowed on a leach (if no recall), be aware at the owners have a dog on the property and their young children love patting dogs!
• Fires allowed, subject to bans. Firewood is on sale or you can bring it in.  You are only allowed to use a chainsaw if you have a certificate, or else no chainsaws to be used. All else is fair game!
• Bring your hiking shoes and mountain bikes to go on your own adventure.
• Toilet and shower facilities available. There are male and female toilets, plus two coin-operated hot showers ($1 coins needed). Please note there are NO powered sites or rubbish bins — you’ll need to take your rubbish with you.
• Special level areas for motorhomes (check availability).
• Mobile reception is available, but patchy. Download maps and vital information where you have reliable service.
• There is no power or drinking water onsite.
• There is a sign on the gate.  Refer to emails from Kylie for more information.

Driving

• The park offers a wide range of tracks to suit all skill levels.  We will have trips for MEDIUM and HARD groups.  
• You’ll find a mix of terrain, including muddy tracks, rocky climbs, technical descents, creek crossings, and hill climbs, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Scenic Rim.
• Beaudesert is the closest for fuel, water and food, etc.
• No dump point on site, not nearby.

Gear

• UHF radio will keep you in contact with the group or park staff. Channel 13 in case of an emergency.
• The park recommends tyre deflators, compressors, and a basic tool kit are also highly advised to help you adapt to the changing terrain.
• Recovery gear is a must — always carry recovery straps, shackles, snatch straps, and a recovery point fitted to your vehicle.

• All vehicles must be registered (full or recreational) and all drivers must hold a current driver’s licence. Drive responsibly — Queensland road rules apply within the park.
