Mitsubishi 4WD Club of QLD
Welcome to the Mitsubishi 4WD Club QLD Inc, Website.
About the Club
The Mitsubishi 4WD Owners Club of Qld (Inc) was established in 1986. The Club offers an opportunity for people with 4WD vehicles to be involved in recreational activities as a group. Trips are conducted by the club into relatively inaccessible places where members can participate in activities such as camping, bushwalking, sight-seeing, fishing or photography. There are many family groups within our club and our activities are designed to cater for all tastes, abilities and age groups.
Our club conducts regular trips to varying destinations. Trips range from short trips within South-East Queensland and the sand islands, through medium trips around Queensland and northern New South Wales, to longer trips to destinations such as the central Australian deserts and Tasmania. Trips may vary in duration from one day to many weeks.
This is a particularly friendly club, and the club encourages new members to participate in a selection of activities, whether they be easy scenic trips, serious challenging trips or social activities. It is a good way for new members to learn from the experience and expertise of long-term members who are always willing to help.
Activities are organised by club members and co-ordinated by the Club Committee. Our club is affiliated with the Queensland Association of 4WD Clubs and through them with the federal body. We participate in the association's C.A.R.E. programme which is a demonstration of our concern for the environment and the continuing enjoyment of four wheel drivers through conservation of tracks and parks.
The club is linked strongly with Mitsubishi Motors Australia Ltd who also support our sister Mitsubishi Clubs in other states
Members need not own or drive a Mitsubishi but the club constitution encourages a pre-dominance of Mitsubishi owners. Generally, there is capacity and a welcome for additional members owning any sort of suitable well maintained 4WD.
Do you live in another state besides QLD? You can still be a part of the club! We have members who live all the way out in Western Australia.
Please take time to browse through our web site and visit our membership page for more information and any queries you may have.
Club meetings are held at the Yeronga Services Club on the third Tuesday of every month with the exception of December. (Please check the trip diary calendar for details if coming in December).
The Yeronga Services club is located at 391 Fairfield Road, Fairfield.
Whilst the meetings start at 7:30pm, everyone is welcome to arrive early and have a meal before the meeting starts. Members start turning up around 6:30pm - 7:00pm for a meal.
If you want to just see what the club is about, you are weclome to attend - there is no cost and you can come and enjoy a meal at the RSL if you come early.
